Question: Can I choose my own accident loan car provider?

Answer: Yes! You have the right to choose your own accident loan car provider. Don’t be pressured into getting a car from somewhere that does not offer a complete service like Right2Drive.

Question: What happens if the at-fault insurer refuses to pay for the accident loan car?

Answer: Unfortunately, this sometimes happens. In some cases where this occurs, Right2Drive will commence legal proceedings in your name against the at-fault party’s insurer or the at-fault party.

We do not charge drivers who are not at-fault in an accident for the rental costs or the legal fees provided they assist us in the recovery of costs from the at-fault party and act in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Question: What information do you need to apply for an accident loan car?

Answer: We require the following information:

  • Your details, including driver’s licence number, car registration and insurance information
  • The at-fault party’s details, including their driver’s licence number, car registration and insurance information
  • Details about the car accident.
  • Witness details (if applicable)

Question: Do I need to pay a bond?

Answer: No. A bond is not required like most car rental companies. We do however ask for a credit card for security purposes.

Question: What costs am I liable for?

Answer: You will be required to pay vehicle use costs such as:

  • Fuel
  • Tolls
  • Any traffic or parking infringements
  • Vehicle cleaning

You may be required to pay vehicle use costs such as:

  • Unacceptable wear & tear
  • Excess or damage
  • Administrative costs
