What To Do After A Minor Accident

Sometimes having a car accident can be confusing. Especially when the accident is minor. Do you still need to exchange details with the other party if you just barely touch the other party’s car? The answer is yes. We have some tips on what you should do after a minor accident.

  • Find a safe place – even though it was a minor crash, you will still need to get out of your car to speak with the other party. Be sure to keep a safe distance away from the road.
  • Check for injuries – despite being a minor crash, there is the possibility that injuries can occur like bruising and whiplash. If injuries occur and are serious, call an ambulance.
  • Exchange information – if everyone is physically and mentally okay, you need to exchange information. We have a car accident guide which gives all the information you need to collect at the scene.
  • Take photos – even if the damage is minor, and you cannot see anything majorly wrong with your vehicle, it is so important to take photographs to serve as evidence of the damage. This will be important to provide to your insurance company if you need to make a claim.
