Application Process

Apply for a Vehicle

After you’ve been in a not at fault vehicle accident, you can apply for an accident replacement vehicle online or by calling our team on 1300 100 121. We’ll ask you to provide us with all the relevant information we need to process your claim.

If you are submitting an application online and are unable to provide us with all the necessary information at the time of submitting the form, we may be in touch with you to get the additional details we need.

Application Process

Assessment and Approval

Once we receive your application for not at fault car hire, our team will work to help you get back on the road quickly after a not at fault vehicle accident. We aim to provide approval within 24 – 48 hours of receiving your completed application. However, if your car isn’t drivable immediately following an accident, we may be able to deliver an accident replacement vehicle to you at the scene of the accident.

In order to grant approval, we go through all the information you’ve provided to confirm that the accident wasn’t your fault. In addition to calling the at fault party and their insurer, we’ll be reviewing accident photos and ensuring that the at fault party has lodged an insurance claim and is accepting liability.

Application Process

Vehicle Delivery

Once we provide you with approval, we’ll book in the date for your replacement vehicle delivery. You’ll also receive the relevant documentation that you’ll need to sign.

After confirming a suitable date and time with you, one of our representatives will meet you at a location that’s convenient for you (home, work, repairer) to deliver the vehicle.

Please note that we do collect your credit card information in case we need to process charges at the end of your hire. These charges include:

  • Fuel (if you return the vehicle with less fuel than when it was provided to you).
  • Tolls.
  • Traffic or parking infringements.
  • Vehicle cleaning (if the vehicle is returned dirty).
  • Unacceptable wear & tear.
  • Excess or damage.
  • Administrative costs.

During Hire

Vehicle Return

While you’re using our replacement vehicle, you are expected to cover the costs of fuel, tolls (and their related administrative fees) and traffic or parking infringements (and their related administrative fees) as you would in your own car.

Once your vehicle has been repaired or you’ve received your settlement, Right2Drive will arrange a suitable time and place with you to collect the replacement vehicle.

Cost Recovery

Cost Recovery

Once our vehicle has been returned, we recover the costs of your hire through the at fault party or their insurer. In some cases, we may require your assistance in the recovery process. Please find out more about your obligations here.
