Important things to know about your Right2Drive vehicle

We expect that you have read and understood the full terms and conditions of our agreement.

Here is a quick reminder of some of the key points you have agreed to:


If the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty condition or with excessive odour, a cleaning fee will be charged.


You are required to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. If you fail to meet this term, standard rates will be charged which may differ to pump prices.

Pet Policy

Assistance animals are permitted. No other animals are to be carried in Right2Drive vehicles. A cleaning charge may be incurred if animals are allowed in the vehicle.

Tolls and Infringements

We encourage all customers to use your own e-tag if you have one. If you do not have an e-tag, you can still use toll roads while in our vehicle and you will be charged for any tolls you incur on a weekly basis.

Any traffic or parking infringements are processed through the applicable notifying authorities. These costs will be passed onto you for payment.


When your repair work is completed

You are required to inform Right2Drive within 24 hours once you are notified that your repairs are completed, and you must also endeavour to collect your vehicle at that time, otherwise you may be personally liable for the ongoing cost of the hire vehicle.

In case of vehicle loss or damage

Under clause 9 of the terms and conditions of your rental agreement, your damage liability fee will be reduced to zero, provided that:

  • The accident is reported to us within 24 hours.
  • Complete accident details including description, date and time of accident, location of accident and details of all parties involved are provided within 24 hours of occurrence; and
  • The driver is fully licensed and an authorised driver (nominated on the rental agreement).
  • The driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident 

If you are unable to do so, you will be liable for the loss and damage caused.

In the event of malicious damage, you will be liable for the loss or damage caused.

Your obligation after the rental is complete

In limited circumstances, we may need your assistance to help us in the recovery process and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of our agreement. If required, our partner recovery firm Redwood Services and/or RTN Law or another of our panel law firms may reach out to you for assistance. In the event Redwood Services and/or RTN Law (or a panel law firm) contact you, please be sure to reply promptly so that you’re able to assist with the recovery process from the at fault party’s insurer and avoid incurring any costs yourself.
